Monument Painting is a series of paintings based on out-of-copyright portrait photos uploaded on the Internet. Today we record various portraits on the Internet as photographs and videos, but in the future, these images may appear only as surface images without any context. This series of works is an attempt to rethink the question of whether human dignity can be maintained under such circumstances through the portrait of a real person who has been replaced on the flat surface of a painting.
